Lorenz Bus Service provides safe, reliable, consistent, on-time “to/from” school transportation to approximately 4,500 students daily in the Blaine, Spring Lake Park and Fridley, Minnesota communities. We have a 98% driver attendance rate and a 98% on-time rate.  Lorenz also operates a large number of school charters for almost every school district in the area including Minneapolis, St. Paul, and schools throughout the suburbs. As a charter bus company, we understand that the needs of field trips and athletics in particular can arise and change on short notice and we are well prepared to handle increased demand and last minute changes.

We understand safety is of paramount importance in the school bus industry as parents, school districts and communities entrust us with the welfare of children. We understand that parents of children are like our other bus customers in many important respects. They want to be informed, and they want the bus provider to be responsive. Lorenz has over 150 active drivers, and they are hired on the basis of their driving expertise and experience. The drivers we recruit are representative of the Lorenz brand we wish to reflect in the community. We emphasize the importance of Safety, Service, and Sincerity – our three core values that regulate how we handle our business activities on a daily basis.  Also, well over 50% of our drivers are also qualified school bus drivers, and many have experience working with special education transportation.

All charter and field trip drivers have access to cellular phones that may be used for communication with Lorenz dispatchers, the District and group leaders. Cell phones will only be available for communication while buses are parked in a safe and secure area and never while the bus is in motion or en route.

To ensure the highest level of service possible, Lorenz equips our qualified and trained driver staff with reliable vehicles and state of the art communications and safety equipment. You may rest assured that Lorenz drivers will drive brand new school buses and communicate via state of the art technology while students’ safety is protected by all required monitoring and operating equipment. Each bus is cleaned every day it is in use. We recognize that a clean bus on the road reflects the image of Lorenz and the community groups we serve, and also serves as an important ingredient to a positive rider experience.
